I'm Asia — Head of Applied AI, career coach, and the person behind The Data Pragmatist. I moved to the UK at 19 with a suitcase and a physics degree, worked my way through data roles at the BBC and Trustpilot, and eventually led a Data Science team. None of it was linear.
I did a science degree, quit a PhD halfway through to pursue a career in data — no regrets. I've worked as an individual contributor and in management, and I know what it actually takes to progress at every level.
